Please see my previous post Cpl. Wassef Ali Hassoun for reference to this story. Perhaps this Marine was scared, but not a deserter.
Well, the rumors seem to be as a result of a prejudicial item in the New York Times which includes quotes taken out of context and incomplete quotes.
A correction has been issued by the Times, for all the good that does to this man's reputation and safety. Not to mention that of his family.
His poor mother has begun her mourning period, convinced that he is dead, and the Times has the nerve to publish false statements about him.
Sick, arrogant bastards.

Now that you have King George Better than God Bush in office, we've got a guy who discounts the working class, has pushed us into a war for the wrong reasons, greater than a two trillion dollar debt, and no possible way for us to recover our country's reputation or economic standing. I blame both the Dems and the Republicans... we deserve better. We also are overdue for campaign finance reform.
