Great Appreciation And A Little Luck

The Letters to the Troops Campaign is gaining steam. So far we have accumulated 20 trackbacks from other great blogs. I have been emailed about 25 letters from readers and there are numerous letters in my comment area, not to mention the comment areas of the other great bloggers that have posted on this!

So far I have about 100 total letters. Let's see if we can make it 500!!

Now, for the luck. Our deadline is being extended. We now have until mid next week to get all of the letters together. I will be gathering and printing the letters from the trackbacks, emails and comments next Thursday evening (the 12th). Sometime shortly thereafter they will be hand carried to Iraq.

Keep 'em coming. Keep up with the trackbacks, emails and comments.

Thanks all great bloggers, blog readers and patriots!!

Good to hear that you have more time to collect them.

Equally good to hear that people are helping out!

I hope you get not 500, but a thousand letters.

Trackbacks from my site don't work, but I've posted it today. I wanted to put in an email address to forward the letters to but can't find one (sorry). I've linked to you're post requesting comments so hopefully people will get something in there.

Thanks to Kat for letting me know!!!

This is a very good thing. Very good.

My letter is here http://www.roadwarriorsurvival.com/archives/000141.php

I also shot an email to Blackfive giving him the link to your original post and letting him know what was going on.

Sorry to be so late to the party, hopefully we can still get some more out there!!

Dear USA Military,

I want you know that you have my undying gratitude for your selfless, sacrificial, hororable, faithful, and best of the best service for freedom's cause. I know (not as well as you) you are frustrated at extentions, and seldom complain outloud. Thank you. I know you face the enemy of our country and those countries you have liberated with precision, strength, fear, and many other emotions. For this, I thank you. I support what you are doing for the USA, Iraq, and Afghanistan. The untold stories of the work you are doing trickles down and reaches home. Have no doubt. We are proud of you. We honor your service. We pray, most of all, that ALL of you come home safely when the job is done. This way, you don't have to go again. God works in mysterious ways. I know He will work all things together for the good for those who love Him, for those who have been called according to His purpose. I wish to express what is in my heart, but I am finding that I lack the words, because there are just some things that move us to our very soul that words seem petty. We, I, thank you. Please go with God, and come home with Him at His time.
P.S. You know the few who make the most noise get the attention. Do not consider them in your day to day lives. We support you. God bless your family and you.
