August 09, 2004Fay Wray is DeadFay Wray, star of the 1933 version of King Kong has passed on at the age of 96. Wray was born in 1907 and starred in several Hollywood films. I only chose to mention this one because King Kong was always one of the classics. As a kid even though it was a shitty black and white film, it scared the hell out of me. There was only one King Kong and she was the star. At 96 I hope she went peacefully, another great star gone. Posted by: Jack at August 9, 2004 07:00 PMI have to admit,I too was scared a bit by King Kong.I was lusting after Fay Wray and didn't have time to be too frightened of the Kong.It didn't matter that she was forty five years my elder. It didn't matter that I was four the first time I saw the movie.I knew I was in love. It is truly hard when you lose your first love.
