A Look At Waffles Record

I frequently mill around the Swift Boat Veterans for Truth homepage. Take a look on the right of my site and you will find a large button and a permanent link to their site.

I'm sorry Waffles but I take the word of dozens of honorably discharged heroes and former POW's over yours, a man that refuses to release his records. Sign the 180!

If you haven't been to the Swift Vets site you need to go there, look around and read up on the information they provide. Keep in mind this is the first hand information from the men who served over, under and along side John Kerry.

Here is their take on Kerry's lackluster tour in Vietnam:

Kerry2.jpg

John Kerry's service in Vietnam lasted 4 months and 12 days, beginning in November 1968 when he reported to Cam Ranh Bay for a month of training. His abbreviated combat tour ended shortly after he requested a transfer out of Vietnam on March 17, 1969, citing Navy instruction 1300.39 permitting personnel with three Purple Hearts to request reassignment. So far as we are able to determine, Kerry was the only Swift sailor ever to leave Vietnam without completing the standard one-year tour of duty, other than those who were seriously wounded or killed.

It is clear that at least one of Kerry's Purple Heart awards was the result of his own negligence, not enemy fire, and that Kerry went to unusual lengths to obtain the award after being turned down by his own commanding officer.

John Kerry has long insisted that using the three-injury loophole to leave combat early was his own idea, but Kerry's fellow Swift officer Thomas Wright, who served on occasion as the OIC (Officer in Charge) of Kerry's boat group, contradicts that claim. Wright reports that he "had a lot of trouble getting Kerry to follow orders," and that those who worked with Kerry found him "oriented towards his personal, rather than unit goals and objectives." He therefore requested that Kerry be removed from his boat group. After John Kerry qualified for his third Purple Heart, Thomas Wright and two fellow officers informed him of the obscure regulation, and told him to go home. Wright concluded, "We knew how the system worked and we didn’t want him in Coastal Division 11."

Constructing a complete picture of Kerry's service is difficult due to gaps in the Naval records provided by the Kerry campaign. These gaps include missing and incomplete fitness reports, missing medical records and missing records related to his medal awards.

For this reason we call upon Senator Kerry to authorize complete access to all his military records by filing a standard Form 180, a simple two-page release form.

Swift Vets and POWs for Truth is in the process of researching John Kerry's time in Vietnam by conducting interviews with eyewitnesses to his activities, and we plan to add material to this section over the next several weeks as it becomes available. We will report the true circumstances of Kerry's medal awards and injuries, describe other controversial missions, and provide in-depth analysis of his fitness reports.

I'll tell you this. Any honorable man or woman who has served this nation would not hesitate to make their records public. I would! I am sure my Father and Grandfather would. Honorable men who served as such have nothing to hide.

What are you hiding Mr. (used loosely) Kerry? Release the records. Tell the truth! Don't let Americans find out after the fact what you really are and bring shame on this great nation.

You claim that we look bad to the global community? How will we look if a liar, cheat and dishonorable Seaman is elected to the single most powerful office on Earth?

Kerry is seen here telling horrendous lies to the Senate.

Just sent an e-mail to Kerry, told him I would submit SF180 if he did, even offered to go first! So Kerry records release should be forthcoming.

Posted by: Swanson at October 18, 2004 02:27 PM

That was weak, so I'll leave a similarly weak comment.

I love how bad news for the "Bad News" Democratic party always shuts up its own supporters!

I'll sign a FM 180 anyday why can't Kerry?

I was watching the newest television ad by these guys you are talking about and I must say I never saw a bigger group of fat red-faced white-boy whiners in my fucking life. No wonder we lost the Vietnam war.

To my readers: Please ignore the ignorance of "A Brother". He speaks poorly of America's Fighting Patriots who have given their everything for this great nation.

These men are Patriots, not Red Faced White Boy Whiners. Why not just show your true colors and call them crackers?

What am I doing wrong? Nearly a year of bloging and no trolls, you get 2 out of 6. It's just not fair.

It's gotta be some bad shit for him not to sign the 180 form, my guess is a BCD is hiding there. Maybe he has to ask for permission from Chirac or General Giap. And "Brother" we didn't lose the war gutless politicians like Kerry did.

Dave, Dave, Dave where to begin...

I am a VNE veteran. I only spent two weeks in-country, and got transferred to Germany, HOW, I don't know, I never engaged in combat action in VN, I don't claim to and I do thank you for your service (if in fact you served); that being said, your comments show you to be an ignorant ass, apparently of the DU Kool-aid drinker variety.
IF you did indeed serve in VN, would you care to enlighten all us about the "war atrocities" that Kerry (admitted to engaging in himself)was talking about in his 1972 testimony before the Senate? I know that in returning from overseas myself that I experienced the hate towards the military that his testimony helped engender.
What about the testimony of numerous inhabitants of the Hanoi Hiton that taped recordings of that testimony were used as propaganda with the aim of breaking down the morale of the POW's?
You claim to be a VN veteran and YOU don't mind being referred to as a Killer of the type of Genghis Kahn? Or do you wish to unburden yourself of the guilt of all the war crimes YOU committed?
You don't believe that Mr Nash is qualified to do this type of investigation? Take it up with him..It's easy enough to google and verify his credentials. His present activity is geared toward "outing" fake wannabe's that claim they were SEAL's...I would think that the experience he has in debunking fakers would make him the perfect person to do just this type of fact check on Mr Kerry's claims.
IF Mr.Kerry did not have an Honorable/General Discharge, he was legally disqualified from even being in the position he is currently in, much less the CiC...Or don't the legalities matter to you?
Bush has NEVER hidden the fact that at one time he was a drinking alcoholic, or that he has been a recovering alcoholic for the last 20 years, it's a matter of public record, or do your DemoncRatic principles of the possibility of rehabilitation not extend to members of the other Party?
The only allegations of Cocain use are from Kitty Kelley, hardly a reliable source, and the person she claims as her source has vehemently denied that she ever made such charges, so the information is even more suspect than is usual in Ms. Kelley's case.
You didn't even bother to read the post, or read this site enough to even TRY to ascertain the manner of person who writes it or the people who comment on it. I am not a Christian...the writer of this site is not a Christian, and most of the people that comment here never put their religious views out as reasons for the views on the subject that they comment about, usually it's merely political idiology that comes forth, and when they do use their religeous views, they clearly state them as such, and are willing to defend them as such while respecting another's views.
IF you ARE a Vet of VN, then you're just as much an old fart as I am, so that hardly means much,
But to deride the commentators here as that without even reading long enough to ascertain their status just labels you as an ignorant ass, hardly a way to influence anyone to your point of view. The rest of your pompus rantings don't even rate a reply. Were I Rob, I would ban your IP as a matter of course, but he's willing to try to engage you in a lucid discusion...I doubt your capable of one.
Go read up on the latest meme of the day at DU, maybe your ranting will amuse us for awhile, But untill your willing to discuss things in a civil, reasoned manner, don't be too surprised if the response you get isn't too friendly.
We're hardly anonymous..Click my name and You get MY e-mail...true for most of the regulars here, and certainly for the owner. You don't seem to have a contact on your site...cute stuff btw. And YOU call the Repulicans full of hate?
Your anti-christian bias is evident..hatefully evident.
