Response To A Troll
OK EV, maybe to say that Clinton was responsible for 9/11 is a little unfair, but had he “warned” the Bush administration as you claim or had he acted on the intelligence that he had we wouldn’t be in Iraq, their likely wouldn’t have been 9/11 and tragedies could have been averted if it weren’t for the Clinton administration. If he would have acted he had ample opportunity to end Bin Laden.

Now, for Bush’s record. You and I both know that very few of the fortunate sons of this nation serve this nation they simply reap the benefits. Clinton had Canada; Bush had the Air National Guard and the right people to keep him from being deployed. It is an unfortunate reality that politicians on both the left and right change their opinions and ‘beliefs’ as frequently as the ebb and flow of the tides. Whatever benefits a politician at the time is typically what they focus on.
President Bush is no more responsible for a Spy plane being shot down than you are for Arnold Palmer hitting a hole in one. As for the Florida vote, was it sketchy yes, did Bush win or lose, we’ll likely never know. It is kind of like the gubernatorial race in Washington State in which the Democratic candidate won off of votes cast by the dead and felons (ineligible to vote). Unfortunately politics aren’t fair or scrupulous on either side. And as I have said in other comments, if you think Al Qaeda orchestrated 9/11 in the 8 short months of President Bush’s first term you really are clueless. Now, had you said that it started under Bush Sr. maybe that is far more feasible?
On August 6th, during a month long vacation, Bush received a briefing from the CIA that was titled "Bin Ladin determined to strike in the US". (Bush fought for a year to keep that info from Americans) It wasn't the first warning, he and his administration had been strongly warned by the outgoing Clinton administration about the importance of monitoring and targeting al Queda. He ignored it and didn't meet with his security advisor even ONCE.
As a courtesy I’ll let you know that it is Al Qaeda (not that I’ve attended a few hundred Intel briefs on these guys or anything).
Back on subject. My first question is…

First of all, go back. Which Presidency went year after year with intelligence about Al Qaeda and other terrorist organizations and their intentions toward the U.S. That wasn't the Bush administration that was the Clinton administration. Second, how many US troops were killed in Mogadishu, Somalia? I'll give you a clue as to which administration was in charge then, it was October 1993. It is widely known, understood and accepted that had President Clinton allowed military leaders in this nation to do what needed to be done Somalia wouldn't have become the disappointment that it was.

Most of my career has been under the Clinton administration. In that time we have had troops killed in various operations that were "Sent to battle by Clinton" that was simply ignorant to claim.
I told you, I agree, Clinton was a good domestic President. I don't think there is much room to argue that he did some great things for this nation. But I also know first hand of the things that he did that contributed to 9/11. The military was greatly downsized by the Clinton crew. We lost people and resources. People and resources that made potential enemies think twice about doing anything to the US or our allies.
I think that is slowly becoming the norm in this nation. The Decocratic party will be good for us at home and detrimental to our personal security by catering to anyone and everyone they think they need approval from. I also think that the Republican party will continue to be great for our national defense but in being so focused on our security other areas at home will suffer.
Now, for your pound sand comment...
I don't know what your infatuation is with things being in my ass, but I assure you that I have ABSOLUTELY no interest in anything being there. I am very much straight (much to the approval of my girlfriend) and I intend fully to stay that way.
Please don't focus on my ass. If you choose to live the gay lifestyle that is up to you, and I don't condemn you for it. Your life, your choice, but please leave my ass out of it.

One of her lackies immediately ran out and told her that the briefing was never given. It was a shock to the 'Weasel' since that meant they really did know, maybe Able Danger told them, but they never passed the information on. This is documented on film and for those that can't read lips, it has sound. What did they know and when did they know it? They knew the attack was coming and they were informed by able danger, but instead of taking action to stop the attack they took action to 'kill' and cover up the Able Danger program, but more and more of it is now becoming public.

Ah, EV your predictable feeble mind led you headfirst into a trap. The Bush-Clinton Somalia situation is very much like the Clinton-Bush Terror situation.
George H.W. Bush did in fact send in the troops for humanitarian aid. Then Clinton sent more under his time. The problem was (like I am sure Miss Lewinsky found out) Clinton can't follow through. He fell short, no pun intended. He didn't commit to Somalia the way he needed to and that led to the deaths of American Troops deployed by William Jefferson Clinton, not GW.
Now, just like Bush leaving Clinton with the problem in Somalia, Clinton left Bush Jr. with the global war on terror. He couldn't commit in Somalia, and he couldn't commit to fighting terrorists. The Clinton administration contributed greatly to the atmosphere that allowed an attack on American soil. Why do you think America elected a "Cowboy" as the left is so fond of calling the PRESIDENT? This country needed someone with the intestinal fortitude to act, and not just react.
I'd never argue that his approval ratings have plummeted because facts are facts.
But through all this I still think it should be illegal to burn the flag!

I think it is said best by my father,a 77 year old life long republican and son of a long time republican precinct committeeman.Just this week he said"This son of a bitch is the worst president in my lifetime.I hate him more than I hated FDR".It took him a long time to admit the obvious but he finally sees the truth.I have to agree with him.This country is in the worst shape now than at anytime in my 53 years.
George Bush is doing what the democrats can't nor really want to do.He is destroying the grand old party.His allies in his own party are coming to realize what a total moron he really is and are starting to distance themselves from him.
That being said,I will continue to support our troops.To do any less would make a traitor as well as a coward.Sad to say,but there are weak links in every organization.Even more sad is the fact that the weakest link in our military is the Commander-in-Chief.To think that the greatest and best trained military in the world is under the command of a walking waste bag is just disgusting!
I think the best any of us could do,would be to give the man a bag of pretzels and pray for divine intervention.

Clinton was a good domestic president? The only money around was the 'peace' dividend which is another way of saying, he destroyed over 40% of the country's military forces. Where did the money saved and the equipment go? Seems there wasn't even a supply of ammo when we got ready to go after Osama. The so called hot stock market was all a sham and people are still on trial for ripping off hundred of thousands of people's retirement funds and savings. Greatest rip off president in history is how history should be written.
The U.S. lost hundreds of soldiers during the 90's and no one was made to pay for the acts of terrorism. That is not a man I would serve under, but then Dimmy Carter ended my career at 22 years. We didn't have the fuel to fly the planes nor the ammo to even provide the annual firing range practice. Hand to hand combat against firepower was not my idea of how to 'start' fighting a war.
There should actually be a recorded speach by Hellary the weasel where she stated they knew about the pending attack and briefed the incoming administration, but the speach was interupted by one of her handlers who ran on stage and told her the briefing was never given. She's not to smart, but she was smart enough to shut up and the antique MSM evidently was smart enough to destroy or bury any copies of the recordings. Saw it and heard it, read the lips of the handler since i'm 60% deaf, it was really easy. It was within a couple of weeks after 9-11...Find a copy and send her back to Ak. with her tail between her legs. There's evidently plenty of room there since Slick services a lot of other (ugly) women she isn't giving him any.
As a military retiree I recommend that everyone in the military and those just enlisting make sure their discharge date is within a three month period beginning on 1 Jan 09. Planning ahead will save your life if a left winger is elected to destroy the country, again.

Don't get too knotted up over my "domestic President" comment. I realize fully that the "good" that came of the Clit-on administration was at the expense of the military and this nations defense. There is no doubt in my mind the cuts Slick Willy made to our national defense are solely responsible for the tragedy of 9/11.
