Powerful Quotes The Looney Left Need Read

"What we need in appointive positions is men of knowledge and experience who have sufficient character to resist temptations." --Calvin Coolidge

"A politician will do anything to keep his job -- even become a patriot." --William Randolph Hearst

"Every public official should be recycled occasionally." --John V. Lindsay

"There never was a bad man that had ability for good service." --Edmund Burke

"Better faithful than famous. Honor before prominence." --Teddy Roosevelt

"Real valor consists not in being insensible to danger, but in being prompt to confront and disarm it." --Sir Walter Scott

"Do your duty in all things. You cannot do more. You should never wish to do less." --Robert E. Lee

"The trouble with practical jokes is that very often they get elected." --Will Rogers

My thoughts: It is as if Will Rodgers had the foresight to write about John Kerry. "The trouble with practical jokes is that very often they get elected."

Another quote that applies to Mr. Heinz-Kerry is that of Teddy Roosevelt. "Better faithful than famous. Honor before prominence." Kerry Clearly hopes his wealth will buy him an election. What's next Waffles? When do the vote JFK ads start running?

Money bought the election for Bush. Why not for Kerry.Watch what you say, son.Remember if Kerry should win he will be your Commander-In-Chief.As an member of the military you must respect him as such.

Money bought the election for Bush, and Clinton, and Bush, and Reagan, and Carter and Ford and...

Do we see a trend here? Money decides who get elected ultimately anyway. Money buys the airtime, airtime influences people, people elect based off of opinions formed in the medial. Money will likely buy Kerry the election.

Not a good point.

As for must respect, respect is earned not forced. While an Airman may not publicly state that an NCO is an asshole he certainly has every right to think it.

If Kerry is elected Commander in Chief, I will continue to do what is expected to include following his orders and do what is expected by him. And I will support him in the ways that I am required but you aren't likely to see words of praise for him here. He will have a rough way to go to earn the respect of the military he once betrayed, cheated and stole from. Ask around, there aren't very many on Active Duty that would piss on Kerry if he were on fire!

Bob, you're right on money being the edge in getting elected and that active service members are prohibited from public statements against their CiC. That having been said, I don't think Son & Heir has gone anywhere near that line, and in the unfortunate event that sKerry does get elected, I'm sure he won't cross the line then either.

He will show the respect the OFFICE deserves and do his duty. Just don't expect him to be happy about it.

As for me, given his anti-military voting record, not to mention his treasonous activities on his return from Vietnam, I find it incredible that ANY Vet could think of supporting him...I know NONE of his superiors in his former chain of command respect him, NONE!

We are in a time of war, we don't need an anti-military type leading us now...we had 8 years of that with Clinton, and thats one reason we're at war now.
