Big Fat Asses Vs. Standard Aircraft Seating

Ok, so now that I am back in full BLOG I figure I'll start the year off with a bang sure to infuriate many people.

This Christmas for the first time in 11 years I got to go home for the holidays. I was ecstatic to say the least. Well, for those of you whom haven't traveled much during the holidays I'll let you know that the blood sucking airlines practically double air fare.

Since I couldn’t afford anything better I took the crappiest flights on the crappiest routes to save money. That said it took a red eye and about eight million connections to get from Seattle, WA to Indianapolis, IN. I had plenty of opportunity to do a little observing. First thing I noticed was the fact that first class should be re-named FAT class. Of all the people in all the planes I was on there couldn't have been a half dozen people less than 225lbs. sitting in first class. Now before Americas rich and famous fat start to get there large undergarments in a bunch I will tell you that I am not here to pick on the FAT class passengers. They did the right thing and bought tickets for seats large enough to house their enormous derrieres.

Those that I am here to talk about are the passengers who chose to make every single person around them miserable. For example, on one leg of my trip I sat next to a gentleman who could have easily played offensive line for the Indianapolis Colts, and I don’t mean one position on the line I mean the whole damn thing. Seriously, this guy sat down and his “love handles” oozed out from under the arm rest and his second set of man boobs oozed over the top. Now not to sound cold and calloused about the mans situation, I acknowledge it could be his total lack of self respect and gluttonous lifestyle“glandular”.

On the next leg of the trip I sat across the aisle from a woman that looked like she could easily eat me in a single sitting. She was 5’2” tall if she was lucky and every bit of that in diameter.

What the hell are these people thinking??!!?? What gives them the right to make everyone around them uncomfortable? I should have gotten a discount for giving up half of my seat to the fat guy’s man tits. Don’t get me wrong I am not trying to single out America’s athletically challenged, but simply trying to point out the fact that these people should have the common decency to either fly first fat class or purchase two adjoining seats. I mean honestly when you have to ask for seat belt extension that should demonstrate to you that you are too much person for one seat.

The airlines are at fault as well. In the greed they'd rather have a large person fly in one seat than lose them to the expense of paying for two seats. Maybe the airlines should consider charging a 150% fare instead of 100% for each of the two seats. Something needs to be done.

So now that some of you are boiling mad at how insensitive to our athletically challenged I am being you need to know a thing or two about me. For those of you who don't know me or have never seen me, I am not a small person. God blessed me with all of 5'5" of height, but has challenged me to stay under 200lbs. According to the Air Force my ideal weight is 142lbs. Yeah, right, in my left nut...

Seriously 142lbs, maybe if I were a woman. I tend to hover around 175-180 lbs. This is just one of the reasons I am running now. I'd like to get down to about 165 but 140 is not going to happen. Now, I am by no means obese, and my girlfriend will tell you that I am dead sexy (bless her heart) but I know a little about what it feels like to be pudgy, chubby, thick, pleasantly plump, big boned, or under tall whatever you’d like to call it in our PC world. I know what it is like and I know that if I ever let myself go to the point that my seatbelt needed a seatbelt (extension) just to get around my mountain of a waist, I would certainly have the decency to purchase the extra seat, fly fat class or drive cross country.

Now, for my family members who are pleasantly plump and my friends who are a little chubby, I say, be not offended for I am not judging you. I am simply saying to those people in the world who are larger than life and need to fly you need to consider the other people who are going to fly on the same plane with you.

So how do we fix this you ask? I’d love to say that we educate our youth to exercise and eat right and take the US off the top of the list of Fat nations, but the truth is it isn’t that easy. So in the interest of fairness the Airlines should build a doorway that you must pass through when you check in (much like the box used to check the size of your carry on baggage). Make the doorway only as wide as the seats on the plane. If you require lubricant or a push from the person behind you to get through the door, you should have to buy a second ticket or fly first class.

Ok, hit me…

I Really Don't Like People

Have we really become so overwhelmed with ourselves that we no longer have time to be kind to our fellow man?

I have been a little under the weather for the last couple of days, and it reached its pinnacle today when I was so weak I could barely get out of bed.

Well, after waking this morning to find that I could barely lift my head I decided that I'd better go to the doctor. I called my boss to let him know what was going on and then called the doc. Luckily they were able to squeeze me in same day at 0830. Over the course of the next hour and a half I managed to crawl out of bed, get dressed, grab a little bite to eat and make it to my appointment.

The "hospital" as they like to call it (more like a first aid station) provided by far the worst customer service I have ever experienced. I walked in the door 20 minutes before my appointment because the lady at the appointment call center made it a point to tell me ten or 50,000 times that if I were late they would cancel due to their busy schedules.

I approached the desk that I believed serviced the Dr. I would be seeing. I stood in line for about 15 minutes (keep in mind there were only two people in front of me). Finally, I reached the young Airman at the counter. He stared blankly at me as if I should tell him what to do. Frustrated I just said, I have a 0830 with Dr. so and so. He told me all appointments must check in at the next counter.

So I thought, eh, my mistake and walked the twenty or so feet to the next counter. There I was third in line. Thankfully this line moved much faster. I got to the counter and checked in. I was asked to have a seat over by the previous counter I was turned away from and told that, "someone will be with you shortly".

I only waited ten minutes or so and then a Med Tech called my name. She took me back weighed me, took my vitals and then asked me to sit tight. The Doc came in almost immediately after she walked out. He was very polite and very professional. His exam took all of 5 minutes to determine what I already knew; I have a sinus infection. He prescribed three meds and sent me on my way. Good thing by this time I felt like I was dragging a boulder with me everywhere I went.

Next stop, the pharmacy. I sat in the designated waiting area for just over a half an hour. Finally, on the verge of falling asleep I approached the pick up window with ID in hand. I informed the civilian clerk that I'd like to check the status of my prescription. She looked it up and told me that they were putting it together and it would be ready in about 5 minutes. I sat back down.

Roughly 15 minutes later my name was called. I walked up to the window and a SSgt (can you believe that, an NCO) literally tossed my prescription on the counter and said, "there you go." What ever happened to, do you have any questions about your prescription? Anyway, as she was rudely walking away from the window I said excuse me, I had three prescriptions. She looked over her shoulder and said, "No you didn't there was only one" as she kept walking. I said firmly, YES I DID, and I can show you the instructions the Dr. gave me for each. She came back to the window, checked her computer and said, "apparently the Dr. didn't put the other two in completely." I said, oh what do I need to do? She looked right at me and said, "I don't know ask the Dr. it's not my job." At this point I was so frustrated I was ready to reach back and smack her so hard her great-grand kids would walk like drunkards, but I didn't.

I made my way back to counter one (smug airman still there) and told the young man that I needed to see my Dr. as he accidentally omitted two of my prescriptions. He looked at me and said, "Refills are handled by the next counter." I told him I didn't need refills I just needed my doc to send the Rx over to the pharmacy. He said again, "Refills are handled by the next counter." So I looked him dead in the face and said, thank you Airman so and so I will be happy to let your superiors know what a stellar job you are doing here.

I proceeded back to counter two where there was no med tech in site. I waited for nearly 20 minutes before the other young airman emerged. In the mean time a retired General, whom I was speaking to in line, said, "fuck this" and walked off. I finally got to the counter and told her my problem. She took my medication instructions sheet and went back to speak with my doc. She emerged a couple of minutes later and told me to have a seat at the pharmacy.

I went back to the pharmacy and the whole routine started over. Wait 20, inquire, wait 10 more. This time when they called my name they had the other two ready. I took my prescriptions and headed home.

As I was walking out the door I noticed that I had been at the clinic for over two hours. Two hours for an appointment that took less than ten minutes. Never mind the fact that there were never more than four people waiting at one time at the pharmacy.

I am only a month away from my 10th anniversary in the Air Force. In that time I have missed work only once before today. That's not to say that I have only been sick once in ten years. Like many Americans I have gone to work with everything from the sniffles to continuous vomiting. But today it just wasn't going to happen.

Shortly after arriving home I got a call from the office. There was a problem and it appeared that I would be the only one who could handle it. I called my boss (works in a different office) to let him now that I did in fact go to the Dr. and that I was headed to work to sort out a problem and then I was headed home. When I called a co-worker answered. I asked for the boss and he said hold on. As he was handing the phone to the boss I heard him say, "Wow that sure is good acting, he really does sound sick."

(See above, ten years one sick day.)

So now that I have told the whole story what was the point?

Are we really so cold and calloused that we have to worry about the competitions every move? Do we really need to try and make others look bad to advance ourselves? Whatever happened to the days when you went to the hospital and it was obvious that the people there cared and genuinely wanted to help?

Yes today was a bad day, but it was also a disgusting look at the character of some people.

Tofu Farting Fairies

It's been a minute since I randomly bitched about something that has pissed me off.

Yesterday I was watching the news as usual, and as usual they failed to deliver. It was one violent crime after another, a few jabs at the president, maybe a mention about Hurricane Jeanne.

Where did they mention all of the wonderful things that the educators of this nation are doing? Where did they shout out kudos to our armed forces? Why didn't they tell the stories of heroics? You mean to tell me not one brave fireman pulled a single person from a fire yesterday? Where did they mention the undercover police officer that once again took a drug dealer off the street?

You know I remember when I was a kid from time to time you'd hear a story about little Timmy who rescued the neighbors cat from a tree, or maybe a short mention about some teenage boys who found a drug dealers secret stash of guns hidden in the woods (that was me and two friends).

These weren't sensational stories. There was no blood, no guts, no rape, murder or GRAND THEFT AUTO. These were just positive stories that reflected the brighter side of man.

How did we come to a point in our history where it is the tofu farting fairies and tree-hugging hippies that get to decide that all we can see is mans negative side. I mean honestly, if this editorial were ever run in the mainstream media the onslaught of crybaby bullshit from the liberals would last for days and would clearly overshadow the real news of the day.

Tolerance is a good thing. Equality is a good thing. However, we have taken it so far that it is now offensive to refer to a chalkboard as the black board, or a dry erase board as the white board. Fighter jocks are cautioned not to refer to the "flight deck" of their jets as a cockpit.

Give me a break.

America, buck up, suck it up and press on.

To the media:

Perhaps it is time to step back a few years and cast a positive spin on what you report. Not all Americans are evil criminal minds bent on buying elections or destroying the credibility of other men and woman.

It is no wonder that so much of the world has a negative impression of Americans; it is our own media that make us look like animals.

In the mean time I will continue to draw things on the white board or black board, the "flight deck" of an F-15 Eagle will forever be a cockpit and if I offend someone maybe it is they who need to grow up, push their collective uterus' back in and understand that tolerance and understanding is a two way street.

Bush Lied (My Ass)

First, let me start by giving credit where credit is due.

This post was inspired by a post of the same name at Emigre With A Digital ClueBat

I will also be "borrowing" a few of the quotes that Delftsman posted on his site.

"Bush is a liar", "The President lied", "George Bush is a liar", and "GW is a liar" are just a few of the frequent cries we here from the Dumbocrats and their Looney Leftist friends.

Well, if their are no Weapons of Mass Destruction in Iraq here a few liars from the Democrats own camp:

"One way or the other, we are determined to deny Iraq the capacity to
develop weapons of mass destruction and the missiles to deliver them.
That is our bottom line."
- President Clinton, Feb. 4, 1998

"If Saddam rejects peace and we have to use force, our purpose is clear.
We want to seriously diminish the threat posed by Iraq's weapons of
mass destruction program."
- President Clinton, Feb. 17, 1998

"Iraq is a long way from [here], but what happens there matters a great
deal here. For the risks that the leaders of a rogue state will use nuclear,
chemical or biological weapons against us or our allies is the greatest
security threat we face."
- Madeline Albright, Feb 18, 1998

"He will use those weapons of mass destruction again, as he has ten
times since 1983." - Sandy Berger, Clinton National Security Adviser, Feb, 18,1998

"We urge you, after consulting with Congress, and consistent with the
U.S. Constitution and laws, to take necessary actions (including, if
appropriate, air and missile strikes on suspect Iraqi sites) to respond effectively to the threat posed by Iraq's refusal to end its weapons of mass destruction programs."

- Letter to President Clinton, signed by Sens. Carl Levin (D-MI),
Tom Daschle (D-SD), John Kerry ( D - MA), and others Oct. 9, 1998

"Saddam Hussein has been engaged in the development of
weapons of mass destruction technology which is a threat to countries in the region and he has made a mockery of the weapons inspection process."
- Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D, CA), Dec. 16, 1998

"Hussein has ... chosen to spend his money on building weapons of mass
destruction and palaces for his cronies." - Madeline Albright, Clinton Secretary of State, Nov. 10, 1999

"There is no doubt that ... Saddam Hussein has invigorated his weapons
programs. Reports indicate that biological, chemical and nuclear programs
continue apace and may be back to pre-Gulf War status.
In addition, Saddam continues to redefine delivery systems and is doubtless using the cover of a licit missile program to develop longer-range missiles that will threaten the United States and our allies." - Letter to President Bush, Signed by Sen. BobGraham (D, FL,) and others, December 5, 2001

"We begin with the common belief that Saddam Hussein is a tyrant and
threat to the peace and stability of the region. He has ignored the mandate of the United Nations and is building weapons of mass destruction and the means of delivering them." - Sen. Carl Levin (D, MI), Sept. 19, 2002

"We know that he has stored secret supplies of biological and chemical
weapons throughout his country." - Al Gore, Sept. 23, 2002

"Iraq's search for weapons of mass destruction has proven impossible to
deter and we should assume that it will continue for as long as Saddam is
in power." - Al Gore, Sept. 23, 2002

"We have known for many years that Saddam Hussein is seeking and
developing weapons of mass destruction."
- Sen. Ted Kennedy (D, MA), Sept. 27, 2002

"The last UN weapons inspectors left Iraq in October of 1998. We are
confident that Saddam Hussein retains some stockpiles of chemical and
biological weapons, and that he has since embarked on a crash course to
build up his chemical and biological warfare capabilities. Intelligence
reports indicate that he is seeking nuclear weapons..." - Sen. Robert Byrd (D, WV), Oct. 3, 2002

"I will be voting to give the President of the United States the authority to use force-- if necessary-- to disarm Saddam Hussein because I believe that a deadly arsenal of weapons of mass destruction in his hands is a real and grave threat to our security."
- Sen. John F. Kerry (D, MA), Oct. 9, 2002

"There is unmistakable evidence that Saddam Hussein is working
aggressively to develop nuclear weapons and will likely have nuclear
weapons within the next five years ... We also should remember we have always underestimated the progress Saddam has made in development of weapons of mass destruction."
- Sen. Jay Rockefeller (D, WV), Oct 10, 2002

"He has systematically violated, over the course of the past 11 years,
every significant UN resolution that has demanded that he disarm and
destroy his chemical and biological weapons, and any nuclear capacity. This he has refused to do." - Rep. Henry Waxman (D, CA), Oct. 10, 2002

In that list of quotes I am sure you noticed the "Gods" of the left Bill Clit-on and his bitch husband wife Billary Clit-on not to mention their underlings like Kennedy, sKerry and Al Whore Gore all apparently making the case for the war in Iraq.

It looks to me like they all wanted it, and when it was a resounding success, and the President started getting credit for it, they thought they'd all better condemn the President and our involvement in Iraq.

This just proves that most Dems are like "Waffles" in that they say what people want to hear at the moment and waffle the minute the polls show that the rest of their lunatic leftists are not happy.

I get so sick of the Democrats condemning actions that a Republican president has taken, when all it takes is a little research to see that at one time they were the greatest supporters for the President and whatever his actions were.

I was deployed to Kuwait in 1998 during the build up. We were on the verge. We thought that war was imminent. We also had nearly as many troops at my location as were there in Desert Storm. Once again, Slick Willy made a number of claims and promises just to go back on them. My deployment was extended from 90 days to nearly 6 months because "we were prepping to invade Iraq", like Somalia; Clinton withdrew and left the problems for another administration to fix. Had Slick Willy been a man of his word George Bush wouldn't have had to lead us into Iraq and I believe there is a strong possibility that 9/11 would have been avoided.

The Democratic National Convention kicks off today, let's see what kind of lies they spew at or about the president and what kind of empty promises they make.

Chiming In

OK, there have been a few things recently that I haven't touched on.

First, THE BUSH ADMINISTRATION WAS RIGHT!! For all the leftists, wake up morons. Have you seen the photos of the training camps in Iraq?

A peaceful nation doesn't torture, rape and murder its citizens. Al Qaeda? Association with 9/11? Doesn't really matter, the world has been rid of one of if not the worst dictator on Earth and possibly one of the worst of all time.

Second, Kim Sun-Il, an innocent man who was in the wrong place. Terrorist shit bags took his life for no reason. They could behead a thousand innocents and in the end all they are going to get is their asses kicked.

I think S. Korea should commit even more troops to Iraq and not hesitate to waste any piece of Iraqi Camel shit they "suspect" of terrorism.

Third, Syria imposes sanctions:

Bwahahahahhahhahha (ROTFL) I almost pissed myself I was laughing so hard when I heard this one.

Finally, the Brit sailors taken by Iran:

If Iran wants to be next, so be it!

Publick Skoolz

Ironically enough I was talking to my supervisor about the sad state of our schools today. Then when I got home I noticed several posts about the same subject.

Recently I moved from California where it was painfully obvious that Governor Schwarzenegger has a hard road ahead of him with public schools. First it was Ebonics, then a failure to teach the whole story about slavery.

Schools appear to be taking the desire to be politically correct so far, and fear of offending someone that they are altering history. Not altering in the sense of fabricating, but altering in the sense of failing to teach the whole truth.

Take a look at the following links for some appalling stories and comments about this sad state of affairs:

Support our kids and if your school system is pulling any of this Bullshit, stand up and address it! Our kids are this nations future.

Rep. Pete Stark Needs To Increase His Medication

Below you will find an article from the Oakland Tribune. It shows the utterly disgusting response of U.S. Representative Pete Stark to a letter he received from a man in his district. Stark a former Air Force Captain made several inflammatory remarks about an elite fraternity that apparently he has forgotten, the United States military. Stark spewed several ignorant remarks that showed just how out of touch some of our politicians really are. Stark raises the question, when is a person to old to serve in politics? Below you will find the article, in bold are some of my thoughts.

Stark said, "enlisted men are too stupid to spell"

In his 72 years of life has he become that out of touch to think that the enlisted men in our military are cavemen? Are we all inarticulate, Neanderthals? I take personal offense to his remarks. I know that a Bachelors degree is not that uncommon amongst enlisted people. At the least an Associates is required for higher enlisted ranks. I have known enlisted men and women with degrees ranging from an AA to a Ph D. Who is stark to call these well educated enlisted men and woman "stupid"?

Stark voice mail on Iraq vote winds up on Limbaugh, Net

Newark man takes offense to rep.'s response to his faxed criticism
By Josh Richman and Sandhya Somashekhar, STAFF WRITERS
Saturday, May 08, 2004 - A man who wrote to U.S. Rep. Pete Stark criticizing his Thursday vote against a resolution on abuse of Iraqi prisoners got a personal reply within the hour -- voice mail from Stark inviting him to explain why he thinks he's "such a great, goddamn hero."

"I think I got the point across," Stark, D-Fremont, said Friday after the voice-mail message had been posted online and become the topic of heated local talk radio. Syndicated host Rush Limbaugh played it nationwide later Friday.

"I probably would've left out the blasphemy ... it was a poor choice of words," added Stark, 72. "Other than that, I would stand by the entire statement that I made to him. We can't call back our words. If that's the part that offended him, I would humbly apologize."

"I guess that means he stands by his statement that enlisted men are too stupid to spell," shot back Daniel L. Dow, 33, the Newark tech sales executive, Army National Guard sergeant and 2002 Republican Assembly candidate who drew Stark's ire.

"It was assaulting the very person he's there to represent," said Dow, who returned in January from a six-month deployment to Kosovo. "Rather than saying, 'Mr. Dow, I hear your opinion, and though I don't share it, I appreciate hearing it,' he leaves this message. This isn't a bar room brawl kind of arena."

Tape heard 'round the nation

Dow faxed Stark a letter Thursday afternoon saying he was "appalled" by Stark's vote against the resolution, noting many of Stark's constituents are serving in the military with pride and distinction. Dow wrote that Stark's vote shows he doesn't support troops selflessly serving their nation, and "is a disgrace to the people of this district who have elected you."

"I urge you to stop your contemptuous display of bitter partisanship and your politicization of this war," he added. "Your actions are very divisive and destructive to the morale of our troops and the morale of our nation. I know that a majority of the population of the 13th Congressional District are very strong in their support of our soldiers and in their support of the war in Iraq. Your 'NO' vote today reflects that you are way out of touch with the people of this district."

Stark soon left Dow a phone message saying that Dow didn't know what he was talking about, and that Stark believed someone had put Dow up to writing the letter, perhaps even writing it for him: "I doubt if you could spell half the words in your letter."

"But I'll call you back later and let you tell me more about why you think you're such a great, goddamn hero, and why you think that this general and the defense department who forced these poor enlisted guys to do what they did shouldn't be held to account -- that's the issue," Stark said. "So if you want to stick it to a bunch of enlisted guys, have your way, but if you want to get to the bottom of the people who forced this awful program in Iraq, then you should understand more about it than you obviously do. Thanks."

Dow gave Stark's taped message to KSFO 560 AM, which aired and discussed it Friday. The station also posted it on the Internet and sent it to Limbaugh, who played it nationwide later Friday. Limbaugh said Stark spoke "typically as a liberal would to an upstart, peasant, dare-to-speak-to-a-congressman citizen."

Thursday's resolution passed 365-50 with 19 members not voting. Ron Paul, R-Texas, was the lone GOP vote against it, while Democrats against it included House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, D-San Francisco; Barbara Lee, D-Oakland; George Miller, D-Martinez; and Lynn Woolsey, D-Petaluma.

At a news conference earlier Thursday, Pelosi noted Democrats had wanted to amend the resolution to call for a congressional investigation of all abuses committed by military personnel or civilian contractors, "including the command atmosphere that contributed to such abuse."

Despite our pleadings last night, the Republicans would not put in the resolution a call for looking into the behavior of the contractors in Iraq, she said.

The resolution's final draft urged the secretary of the Army to investigate any and all allegations of mistreatment or abuse of detainees in Iraq, correct any problems found, bring swift justice to troops who violated military law and report to Congress often.

The ultimate question

Stark said Friday the ultimate question must be: "Was this in fact ordered, implicitly or directly, by the Department of Defense, the CIA, the administration, or was it just six rogue enlisted guys?"

"Part of our concern was that without a congressional investigation ... it will be left to the administration to cover up the obvious involvement of the Department of Defense and the administration of condoning, if not creating, the atmosphere that allowed this to go on," he said. "There are those of us inside the Beltway ... who are sometimes suspicious of the tenacity with which the fox can in fact guard the henhouse."

Alameda maritime consultant and U.S. Naval Reserve veteran George Bruno, Stark's GOP challenger in November, said Stark "has a history of this type of behavior.

"Stark's disdain for the military is a slap in the face to all who have served and sacrificed to protect this county," Bruno said, adding the district has been disadvantaged because Stark "refuses to value diversity of opinion above his personal preferences."

Dow ran for the 20th Assembly District seat in 2002, losing to Democratic incumbent John Dutra. He served in the U.S. Army from 1989 to 1994, reaching the rank of sergeant and serving as a Korean linguist in the Military Intelligence Corps.

Stark was a U.S. Air Force first lieutenant from 1955 to 1957 and then served six years in the Air Force Reserve, retiring as a captain.
Stark has a habit of dusting it up with his critics.

Is this man so arrogant and out of touch to think that he reached the rank of Captain on his own. Without the enlisted men around him the mission would not be met, plane and simple, cut and dry. It is the enlisted man that makes the military what it is. The military could survive without officers, but it could not exist without the enlisted men and women who serve this great nation!

During a tumultuous Ways and Means Committee hearing last July, Stark called another lawmaker -- an ex-policeman 21 years his junior -- a wimpy fruitcake who couldn't make him shut up. Rep. Scott McInnis, R-Colo., replied by telling Stark to take his medication.

But ultimately it was committee chairman Bill Thomas, R-Bakersfield, who offered a tearful apology on the House floor for that day's events; he had called Capitol Police to evict committee Democrats from a library where they were caucusing.

I do not condone the actions of a few soldiers, civilians and whomever may have been involved with the mistreatment of the Iraqi prisoners of war. I do however condone anyone who feels the need to tell Stark what an Ass Hole he is!

Ted Rall Is Truly A Jackass

Ted Rall claims to be America's hardest-hitting editorial cartoonist for Universal Press Syndicate. This is obviously a self-proclaimed title. Take a look at his sorry leftist cartoons and you will soon see he is little more than a lackluster cartoonist who uses "shock" to attract an audience.

With what is barely conceivable as a modicum of talent Rall chose to slander recently deceased soldier, and true American Pat Tillman. His cartoon is not only offensive as he chose to dirty the heroic name Tillman it is also a slap in the face of every American who has chosen to serve this great nation.

To pay tribute to all veterans as well as true Americans Mamamontezz has designed a cartoon of her own. Here you are Turd Rall, here is what the blog community thinks of you!

That's Quite Enough

It has become great sport for certain readers of blogs to single out military personnel who are currently deployed, and subject them to all manner of harassment in their comments. Some of it has been obscene, some merely idiotic, but more distressing is the use of comments as a means to belittle, castigate, and "spit" on a soldier electronically.

Most of these commenters use nonexistent email addresses or misdirected email addresses to protect themselves and their mailboxes, and appear savvy enough to work around attempts at banning when IP banning is even an option. Sadly, the majority of active military bloggers use "free blogging hosts" which do not allow for IP banning, forcing them to either endure this abuse, turn off their comments, or quit blogging altogether.

It can't be said enough that America needs to stand by our troops. It doesn't matter if you believe in the cause or not. At a bear minimum all Americans should believe in the troops that fight for all our freedoms! We are your friends, your brothers, your family and your neighbors.

CNN (a.k.a. - The Communist News Network)

Everyday people all over the world rely on the Cable News Network (CNN) to provide them with information on what is going on. From homeland security issues to terrorist attacks in the middle east. Many consider the Communist News Network (CNN) as a reliable and accurate source of factual information. While I do feel that they report the truth (for the most part) I also feel that they too are becoming biased and far to liberal...

... I remember a time when I had great respect for CNN. But my opinion has shifted. While I was deployed for Operation IRAQI FREEDOM I too relied on CNN for updates on the events surrounding me.

It was good for visual information such as maps, people, places and events but following the bulk of the conflict the focus quickly shifted to the "innocent civilians". CNN appeared to make it a point to show a much larger quantity of footage of Non-Combatans such as the bombed out mosques (failing to report that it housed Anti-Aircraft Artillery (AAA). They would show "schools" that were struck by cruise missiles and show the picture of the little boy who lost a leg. However, they always seemed to conveniently cut out before they could mention that hiding inside were numerous Fedayeen fighters. Lets not forget that the Iraqi cowards hid behind their children and their women. These are the same people who would fake surrender and then try to attack the troops who were accepting their surrender.

Now, before anyone labels me heartless, or a war monger let me set the record straight. I feel sorry for the true innocents who are caught in the ugliness of war. However, if it is a necessary casualty to prevent the loss of American lives then it is something I can live with.

It is because of the bleeding heart liberals in the media that it has now become fashionable to protest the war. While patriotism is at an all time high, so is the trend to look down upon the defenders of this nation. CNN, I challenge you to return to your roots. It is possible to report without bias, all while keeping in mind that you are an American company. I know where I came from do the employees of CNN?
