What A Load Of Democrat Shit (Another blatent plea for the minority vote)

First the Republicans decimated the democrats in Washington States gubernatorial race, then the Donks stole the election with a couple of recounts that ultimately revealed that the dead and convicted felons all conveniently illegally voted for the Democratic Candidate Christine Gregwhore. Fortunately for the residents of Washington State the Republican candidate, Dino Rossi, had the decency to bow out and save this state and its residents from any further embarrassment and most importantly financial burden.

Now the knob that is Crusty Christine Gregoire has made another blatant attempt at further securing minority votes for the Donks.

Look at this load...

If you appreciate history at all this is worth the read.

If you want another fine example of the Democrats shitting on this nation’s history, this is worth the read.

This happened back in late February, but I was unable to find the information I needed to finish this post until now.

Please click on continue reading for the rest of this nauseating story!!!!

KING COUNTY, WASHINGTON

ATTEST:

(signed by) Dorothy M. Owens
Clerk of the Council

Updated: Sept. 23, 1999

Did this happen? You bet it did. OLYMPIA – April 19, 2005 – Gov. Christine Gregoire today (April 19, 2005) signed a bill renaming King County in honor of the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

So it took a Piece of shit Democrat to blatantly disrespect King County’s heritage.

A few thoughts...

Well, first of all, it is an atrocity that the county’s namesake was “re-designated”. What the hell is wrong with this country? Do we not want any traditions or history? Are we such a shallow nation that we will re-write history to suit our political needs or to hide the less than desirable moments and people in our past? This "re-designation" is simply preposterous. True, Vice President William Rufus DeVane King did some things that by today’s standards are considered unscrupulous. True, he was a slave owner, and I most definitely agree much of what he did and represented were not good things (by today’s standards), in fact many were horrible acts of discrimination. However, in his day and time he was a typical American man (for lack of better descriptors) and apparently his accomplishments warranted naming the largest county in the state of Washington after him.

Now, back to the Donk in charge of this failed state...

Oh, wait before that a little more history on this jumbled subject...

..Drafter Clerk 11/10/2005 ..Title AN ORDINANCE to establish the official symbol of King County to be the likeness of the Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.; amending Ordinance 8227, Section 1, and K.C.C. 1.36.010 and adding new sections to K.C.C. chapter 1.36. ..Body STATEMENT OF FACTS: 1. The King County council passed Motion 6461 on February 24, 1986 recognizing the great contributions and many achievements in public service of Noble Peace Prize laureate the Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., including his persistent and unfailing efforts leading to the passage of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and the Voting Rights Act of 1965. 2. Motion 6461 changed the namesake of King County from William Rufus DeVane King to the Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. 3. All counties are creations of state law and chartered by state of Washington charters. 4. The state Legislature passed Chapter 90, Laws of Washington 2005 (Engrossed Senate Bill 5332) to rename King County in honor of the Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., and Governor Christine Gregoire signed this legislation in law on April 19, 2005. 5. The official symbol of the Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., County should reflect and call to mind the namesake of the county. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KING COUNTY: NEW SECTION. SECTION 1. There is hereby added to K.C.C. chapter 1.36 a new section to read as follows: The official symbol of King County shall be the likeness of the Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. SECTION 2. Ordinance 8227, Section 1, and K.C.C. 1.36.010 are each hereby amended to read as follows: King County flag. The official King County flag shall consist of the county logo of a ((gold crown and encircling double gold rings)) likeness of the Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., on a rectangular green background. NEW SECTION. SECTION 3. There is hereby added to K.C.C. chapter 1.36 a new section to read as follows: The executive shall implement section 1 of this ordinance by changing the official county logo to a likeness of the Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. for all official county uses including but not limited to, county vehicles, equipment, buses, printed materials, letterhead, business cards, envelopes and notepads. NEW SECTION. SECTION 4. There is hereby added to K.C.C. chapter 1.36 a new section to read as follows: The executive shall develop graphic standards, including the official King County logo and setting guidelines and procedures for its use, that designate the King County logo as a likeness of the Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., for use for all official county uses including, but not limited to, county vehicles, equipment, buses, printed materials, letterhead, business cards, envelopes and notepads. NEW SECTION. SECTION 5. There is hereby added to K.C.C. chapter 1.36 a new section to read as follows: The use of the likeness of the Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. shall be used for official county purposes and shall not be used: A. For purposes of fundraising or solicitation of donations other than the employee charitable campaign authorized under K.C.C. chapter 3.36 or solicitation for donations to King County; or B. To advertise or promote commercial events or commercial services, goods or merchandise. SECTION 6. To avoid disruption and to reduce cost, the Executive may implement this ordinance in phases, and shall coordinately with separately elected officials and branches of government to encourage implementation of this ordinance in all county agencies.

So, let’s recap before I light into Gregoire. First, in 1986, the state of Washington desecrated the legacy of a Vice President by requesting that the reason for naming its largest county King be changed. Then in 2005, they went a step further to erase their largest county’s history... and now the proposal is to change the county’s flag to a likeness of the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King instead of the current flag seen below.

King County Flag (now).gif

This has been the flag of King County for the last 38 years. It has been modified more than once since the establishment of King County.

As if the “re-designation” of King County to represent the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. wasn't preposterous enough now they have to plaster his face on the flag?

So, did it happen???

Drum roll please....

Can the Donks destroy all of our nation’s history???

YES THEY CAN! or at least large portions of Washington State’s history.

On 27 February 2006 the illegally "elected" governor of the State of Washington and the King County Council approved an ordinance to replace the crown that has been the logo for King County for 38 years with the image of the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., the county’s namesake.

Now before the NAACP starts banging on my door or Jesse Jackson gets his drawers in a bunch I want all who read this to realize this isn't about the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. this is about the Democratic Party once again rolling over on this nation’s heritage all in the name of chasing the minority vote. There is no doubt that Dr. King was a great man and this nation owes him dearly, but this is a Democrat issue.

It is appalling that the Jack Ass party is so quick to re-write “re-designate” history to suit their needs.

Now after 10 hours of reading all this gibberish if there is anyone still here...

Sound off...

What do you think?

Response To A Troll

OK EV, maybe to say that Clinton was responsible for 9/11 is a little unfair, but had he “warned” the Bush administration as you claim or had he acted on the intelligence that he had we wouldn’t be in Iraq, their likely wouldn’t have been 9/11 and tragedies could have been averted if it weren’t for the Clinton administration. If he would have acted he had ample opportunity to end Bin Laden.

Clinton Book.jpg

Here are just a few links that you can read, research and then dismiss as bogus:

Clinton Administration Responsible for Terrorism

Catastrophic Failure a.k.a. Bill Clinton

Clinton Let Bin Laden Slip Away

Clinton 'let bin Laden survive'

Clinton Created Bin Laden

Now, for Bush’s record. You and I both know that very few of the fortunate sons of this nation serve this nation they simply reap the benefits. Clinton had Canada; Bush had the Air National Guard and the right people to keep him from being deployed. It is an unfortunate reality that politicians on both the left and right change their opinions and ‘beliefs’ as frequently as the ebb and flow of the tides. Whatever benefits a politician at the time is typically what they focus on.

President Bush is no more responsible for a Spy plane being shot down than you are for Arnold Palmer hitting a hole in one. As for the Florida vote, was it sketchy yes, did Bush win or lose, we’ll likely never know. It is kind of like the gubernatorial race in Washington State in which the Democratic candidate won off of votes cast by the dead and felons (ineligible to vote). Unfortunately politics aren’t fair or scrupulous on either side. And as I have said in other comments, if you think Al Qaeda orchestrated 9/11 in the 8 short months of President Bush’s first term you really are clueless. Now, had you said that it started under Bush Sr. maybe that is far more feasible?

On August 6th, during a month long vacation, Bush received a briefing from the CIA that was titled "Bin Ladin determined to strike in the US". (Bush fought for a year to keep that info from Americans) It wasn't the first warning, he and his administration had been strongly warned by the outgoing Clinton administration about the importance of monitoring and targeting al Queda. He ignored it and didn't meet with his security advisor even ONCE.

As a courtesy I’ll let you know that it is Al Qaeda (not that I’ve attended a few hundred Intel briefs on these guys or anything).

Back on subject. My first question is…

Were you there? Here it is straight from the horse’s mouth:

Dereliction of Duty.jpg

THE PICTURE OF THE BOOK IS A LINK IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN A FIRST HAND ACCOUNT OF THE TRUTH

Col. Robert Patterson saw Clinton’s failures first hand. You really should read this before you jump on the ‘Clinton was the greatest President ever’ band wagon.

I don’t know EV; I guess we will have to agree to disagree. You will continue to suck up and believe everything the liberal media tells you, and I will continue to trust my own eyes and ears and my first hand experiences.

Oh, and as far as the Kool-Aid jokes, find your own material. If you can’t be original in thought what is the point in existing?

Fun With Trolls...

... Or Paint By Numbers

Some of you may remember this post. Long and short of it is that I agree it should be illegal to burn the flag. There are plenty of ways a person can exercise their freedom of expression, but I just don't think that destroying one of our nations strongest symbols should be one of them.

Anyway...

That post set off this chain of comments.

Are you aware that putting flag decals on cars is an act of desecration. So is using the flag to sell products. Or wearing clothes with the flag on it. Or about a million other unholy uses people have for the flag. The US Code (Title 4, Chapter 1) is quite clear about the proper and reverential treatment accorded Old Glory. U.S. federal law says that the flag should never be used for advertising (section 3), be draped over any part of a car (section 7a), be worn except for patches on military, police, and fire uniforms (sections 8d and 8j), or be printed on anything meant to be discarded (section 8h). Most people wouldn’t knowingly disrespect a cloth flag, but according to section 3 of the code, anything that represents a flag should be treated as if it were the flag itself.

And here's another act of disrespect that we see all the time. What about flags that don't have 50 stars on them? The flag is a powerful statement of the unity of 50 states, built on a foundation of 13 colonies. But the Bush/Cheney '04 insignia was a warped and tarnished flag with 38 of the stars shamelessly torn off. Yes, there were only 12 stars on it. I live in Illinois. We were the 21st state to join the Union, and one of those 50 stars on the real American flag represents my state. But on the Bush/Cheney counterfeit "flag", Illinois' special place on the flag was nowhere to be found. If the flag is sacred, as you suggest, then maybe the Bush/Cheney campaign should have thought more seriously about treating Old Glory with respect.

Elrod,

I was fully aware of the information you posted above, in fact if you look to the right hand gutter you will notice there is a link to Flag Etiquette. I agree there are many ways that people desicrate the flag both intentional and out of ignorance, however that doesn't excuse publicly burning the flag. Some things simply should be sacred.

George Walker Bush AUTOGRAPHED small flags during is last campaign. Are the flags more valuable now? More American? I think it's the same as Bush wearing a military uniform on the USS Lincoln.
Now don't go thinking and have your head explode!
I'm more concerned about what he's doing to this country than some symbols you pussies get your panties wadded up over.

Simple minds have always entertained me. The world needs people incapable of intelligent thought so we have something to chuckle at. EV I would assume is also Elrod from above. This time we get a link to the Whitehouse. Thanks EV or Elrod or whomever you really are, but I and most true patriots already know the URL for the Whitehouse.

Anyway, I agree the Bush Campaign shouldn't 'autograph' the flag, but this discussion was about a bill to prevent such things, not a chance for the extreme left to dig at the President or call those of us with stones enough to serve this nation and protect their freedom of speech "pussies".

Thanks for your visit, and the laugh EV.

And remember, if you can't get the round peg in the square hole, you just need to hit it a little harder with your skull.

Don't read this if you know how to think, your head may explode. You've been warned.

Burning a flag is free speech. Free speech is guaranteed in the bill of rights. It's also a symbol you've been brainwashed into worshipping more than your freedom.
Here's a more visual argument. Imagine it's 1999, just after Clinton is caught with a woman who wasn't his wife.
Instead of making the famous announcement, he said this..."My fellow Americans. I want to show you this flag behind me. For me here's what the colors mean... White is the color of Miss Lewinsky's thighs, blue is the color of her dress and red, well, let's say she's not a vigin anymore. So mind your own business and remember the colors of our flag."

The next day there would be runs on flag stores, Walmarts and school equipment rooms. Clouds of Chinese polyester smoke would choke the country. The bonfires would be seen by orbiting astronauts.

So tell me you, yeah, YOU meathead, slaughterass or whatever you call yourself, could never think of a scenario where you would want EVERY way to express your freedom of speech.

Thanks for the irony. I can see how easily meatheads are manipulated for "patriotic" causes when your Bill of Rights are being flushed by the greedy oil cartel running this country. Pretty brilliant how a puny handful of chickenhawks who never went into combat can jerk your strings while they're handing a huge mortage to your descendents. "Hey, Dick, the polls are down, time to pull out the flag bullshit again. Yeah, let'em wave flags, that'll keep 'em happy."

by Ev on March 9, 2006 09:07 PM

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

For a brief (albeit very brief) moment I thought that EV was open to intelligent discussion; clearly that thought vanished when he turned to name calling.

Come on EV my 6 year old could do better than the "doodie head" routine.

That said, I guess I'll have to stick to talking to Americans that are pro America and leave the name calling to EV and the toddler alliance of the universe.

Thanks for your time EV; you are almost as much fun as a barrel of monkeys.

Here I've spent the last ten years of my life fighting to preserve EV's freedoms, and the liberty he clearly takes for granted and he comes into my house, shits on the carpet and expects me and my readers to be cool with it?

I just thought I'd share, now I leave the donk to your comments.

Deputy Faces Charges in Airman's Shooting

Not that this decision surprises me at all...

SAN BERNARDINO, Calif. - A sheriff's deputy who was videotaped shooting an unarmed Iraq War veteran after a car chase will be charged with attempted voluntary manslaughter, authorities said Tuesday.

The decision to charge Deputy Ivory J. Webb, 45, was announced by San Bernardino County District Attorney Michael A. Ramos.

Sheriff Gary Penrod said Webb will remain on paid administrative leave during the investigation into the shooting of Air Force Senior Airman Elio Carrion, 21.

"I respect the decision of the district attorney's office," Penrod said.

It is the first time the county's prosecutors have filed charges against a lawman for an on-duty shooting.

Webb's arraignment was set for Wednesday. If convicted, he could face up to 18 1/2 years in prison.

The charge includes the special allegations of infliction of great bodily injury and use of a firearm, Ramos said at a news conference. In California, such enhancements can result in extra prison time.

Carrion, an Air Force security officer just back from Iraq, was a passenger in a Corvette that police chased at high speed on the night of Jan. 29 until the Corvette crashed into a wall in Chino, about 45 miles east of Los Angeles.

A grainy videotape shot by a bystander showed Carrion on the ground next to the car with Webb standing and pointing at gun at him.

A voice appears to order Carrion to rise, but when the airman appears to begin complying, the deputy shoots him three times. Carrion was shot in the chest, shoulder and thigh and was hospitalized for several days.

Authorities found no weapons on Carrion or the driver, Luis Escobedo.

Prosecutors announced they were charging Escobedo with a felony of attempting to evade a peace officer while driving recklessly and misdemeanor driving under the influence. He was expected to surrender Wednesday. The maximum penalty if convicted would be 3 1/2 years in prison.

The FBI is investigating possible civil rights violations. The sheriff's department conducted its own probe and gave the results to the district attorney's office.

At the time, the sheriff said the videotape "arouses a lot of suspicion," but he pointed out that it is fuzzy and contains gaps.

"In any type of investigation it is the responsibility of the Sheriff's Department to put together all the facts," Penrod said Tuesday. "The district attorney's role is to take those facts and determine whether there is sufficient evidence to issue a criminal complaint. Obviously that was their choice in this investigation."

Ramos assigned two top attorneys to review the shooting and requested an FBI enhancement of the videotape.

I saw the video and posted about it a while back. It looked wrong to me from the start and now, it looks like the law might do right.

OK, everybody....

Sound off, what do you think?

You May Not Be Able To Call Them "Weekend Warriors" Much Longer

I know, I know, the title is a little misleading. Guard and Reserves have been doing alot more than just pulling one weekend a month/two weeks a year since the 'War on terror' began.

I like to tease my girlfriend about the Guard and Reserve because she is an NCO in the guard and I as most of you know am active duty.

Anyway, all jokes aside below is a story worth reading, especially if you are a member of our armed forces, active duty or otherwise.

Guard, Reserve Aim to Become More Mobile Forces
angshield.gif Reserve Command.jpg arnglogo.gif

By Gerry J. Gilmore
American Forces Press Service

WASHINGTON (2/10/2006) — The era of the "weekend warrior" is over, the Defense Department's senior civilian in charge of the Guard and Reserve said here today.

America's reserve components, consisting of 1.1 million Guard and Reserve members, are restructuring to become more capable of being mobilized like their active-duty brethren, Thomas F. Hall, the assistant secretary of defense for reserve affairs, told American Forces Press Service and Pentagon Channel reporters at an interview.

This transformation, Hall said, is taking place because of new national security realities that have emerged as the result of the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks on the U. S. and the ensuing "Long War" waged against international terrorism.

During the Cold War the reserve components were structured and equipped to perform as a back-up force to active-duty forces, Hall said. As such, he said, Guard and Reserve members of that era were expected to drill one weekend a month and perform two weeks of annual training. Guardsmen and reservists of that time, Hall added, were also expected to undergo from six months to a year of training before being deployed overseas.

The end of the Cold War in 1991 and the 9/11 attacks changed all that, Hall said. With the collapse of the Soviet Union, there's no longer a need for a large, relatively static reserve force.

And the far-flung war against terrorism, Hall said, has showcased the need for well-trained and agile military forces that can be quickly mobilized for deployment anywhere in the world. About 40 percent of the Guard and Reserve, he said, have deployed overseas to combat terrorists in Afghanistan, Iraq and other places.

Laws likely will have to be changed to facilitate the transformation of the 21st-century Guard and Reserve force, Hall said. That's because the new-style reserve components, he said, will be regulated, constructed and managed differently from the Guard and Reserve of the past.

And "you're going to have to look at the contract between the Guard and Reserve," Hall said, noting its members likely will be required to be activated and deployed for up to a year, every six years or so.

"Over a career, you might do that three times," Hall said. It's imperative, he added, that families and employers also are aware of the changed conditions of serving in the Guard or Reserve.

"This is the nature of the Long War," Hall said. Fielding a more mobile and capable reserve component force, he said, is necessary for achieving victory over the terrorists.

It's especially needed to transform the reserve components now, Hall said, since they are "absolutely critical" to U.S. national security, comprising about 45 percent of today's total military force.

Also, efforts will be made to upgrade benefits available to activated Guard and Reserve members to mirror those provided to the active-duty military, Hall said.

"When you are in the foxhole and that bullet is coming, it doesn't know whether you are a guardsman, a reservist or active duty," Hall said, "and you're expected to undergo the same kind of danger.

"And, therefore, we ought to make the benefits the very same," he said.

"Also, efforts will be made to upgrade benefits available to activated Guard and Reserve members to mirror those provided to the active-duty military, Hall said."

I agree 100% anytime a guardsmen or reservist is activated they and their families should have the exact same benefits that we (Active Duty) have available to us. The key here, is WHEN ACTIVATED. It would bankrupt this country if they tried to provide active duty benefits to inactive Guard and Reserve.

Another thing that seriously needs addressed is the promotion system within the reserve forces. It shouldn't matter if a person is active duty or guard/reserve when promotion time comes everyone should have to earn their stripes so to speak.

The guard and reserve have a strange situation with promotions. Many joke that in order to get promoted someone has to die or retire. That is because rank is based on available slots, and that is a system that causes headaches for many.

Currently I have a 35 year old Senior Airman/E-4 that works for me. I have seen a 51 year old E-4 and a 28 year old E-8 from different units. Clearly the promotion system within the Guard and Reserve is grossly flawed.

I have been on deployments and worked with 26 year old Master Sergeants/E-7 all the while the average active duty member of the same age is most likely a Staff Sergeant/E-5. Not only does this often create resentment between the active troops and the reserves but often times it means that the people in charge are by far less experienced than their junior ranking counterparts. Now, before anyone gets their whitey tighties in a bunch I am not saying that the guard and/or reserve are power hungry or that they don't have the sense to listen to junior ranking people with more experience. It isn't all/always bad. It is just that the system clearly isn't balanced.

Anyway, that's my two cents. This, I am sure will be an interesting transition for the Guard and Reserve and will have a great impact on our nations ability to support and defend our precious freedoms.

Another Fallen Hero Deserves Proper Remembrance

I have transplanted the following from Something and Half of Somthing:

Letter Writing Request

Most of you have read about the "brave dissenters" who expressed their "support for our Troops" by vandalizing the home of Army SGT Rickey Jones, who was killed in action Feb. 22 when an improvised explosive device detonated near his Humvee during patrol operations in Hawijah, Iraq.

These "patriots" have actually called SGT Jones' family to tell them "I’m glad your son is dead.” If that wasn't enough for SGT Jones' family to deal with, Fred Phelps and his hatemongers will probably picket the funeral.

If you haven't heard about this, run on over and read what Emperor Misha has to say.

rickey_jones.jpg

Army SGT Rickey Jones

CJ at A Soldier's Perspective, is trying to help organize a letter writing campaign to the family of SGT Rickey Jones.

If you are as disgusted as I am and would like to write a letter to have delivered to this family, please email Lauren (MyWay716@aol.com) for more information. The good people over at Operation Military Pride are helping facilitate the delivery of these letters.

This family recently lost a son and shouldn’t have to deal with people like Fred Phelps and the people responsible for the egging of their home and irreverent phone calls. If you feel the same way I do, please email her and write this family a letter of support and love. Let them know that we appreciate their son’s service and mourn their loss. Let’s show them what America is really made of. This isn’t about whether or not you support the war. This is about common decency for a family that has suffered the ultimate sacrifice…having to bury a child. Thank you in advance. When this is over, I want the post office to have to hire new postmen just to handle the volume.

Let's get it done!

I've seen the outpouring of support from all of you in the past with my Letter Project(s), now is the time to do it again!

Support the troops, support the family of this fallen hero!!

I salute you Sgt Jones...

halfmast.gif

Undoubtedly you were an 'Army of One'

Oh and for the back woods, redneck, hill jack pieces of shit in Kokomo, Indiana who egged this brave young mans home I'd like to say it will be a while before I am able to be proud of my Hoosier upbrining. You should not only be ashamed of yourselves you should be punished. Karma is a Mother Fucker and has a way of biting you in the ass!

This Needs To Happen

I just got word from Matt at GOP Bloggers that:

Senator Bill Frist will announce that a constitutional amendment giving Congress the power to ban the physical desecration of the American flag will receive a floor vote in the United States Senate. The vote will occur during the last week of June.

More on this issue to come...

Like the title says, this needs to happen! Freedom of expression is one thing, but to blatantly allow people to desecrate the sacred symbols of our nation is not expression it is idiocy! If someone wants to express hatred against this nation that is strong enough to warrant (in their minds) the desecration of Old Glory, that person should simply show their protest by moving out of the US.

More to follow, I will post/link more as I hear more!

...Call him what you want but the mighty Delftsman needs your prayers.

Go here and here and here.

OK, all caught up? The long and short of it is this. Delfts has been a friend of my family since two decades before I was even a thought to my Mother and Father. He is my Dads best friend and has always been Uncle Burp to me.

Please keep Delfts, Lila, Anna and Erin in your prayers.

Thanks

Finally!!!

Man oh man, does it ever seem like we (Air Force) have to wait forever for our promotions. I found out 9 months ago that I was selected for promotion to E-6/Technical Sergeant. I finally sewed it on today!

I know I haven't been posting as frequently as I'd like, but what can you do?!? My girlfriend always encourages me to write, but I don't always have time.

Anyway, I just thought I'd let my readers know I am still alive and kickin' and that I got promoted!

Thanks again to all the regulars and keep checking in, don't forget about my little old blog site!
